There are two different types of Immigration Cases:
Temporary Residence
or
Permanent Residence (formerly called "Landed Immigrant").
Citizenship can be applied for once you have been living in Canada for a few years. If you think you
might qualify for Canadian Citizenship, or if you just have general questions, please contact us.

Temporary Residence
Temporary Residence includes Tourists, International Students and Temporary Foreign Workers.
In some cases, these categories will assist you later should you wish live in Canada permanently.
Tourists
Citizens of some countries can travel to Canada as tourists with just their passports. Other people will find that a
Temporary Resident Visa is required. If you are interested in Visiting Canada, contact us, to discuss
what rules apply to you.
International Students
Canada is home to some of the best Universities and Colleges in the world. We can help you understand how to further your education in Canada. There are many options - to study English or French, to take a technical diploma or to pursue a university degree.
Temporary Foreign Workers
Do you have skills that are in demand in Canada? Have you been offered a job? We can work with you to see what options
you have for working in Canada. There are many programs in place for Temporary Workers, and it is best that you contact us to see which might be right for you.
Permanent Residence
Permanent Residence gives you the right to live and work in Canada permanently. If you want to, you can become a Canadian Citizen a few years after you arrive.
There are many different ways to apply for Permanent Residence. You can come independently in the Economic Class or you can sponsor family members in the Family Class. Other people can apply as Protected Persons. There is a new class, the Canadian Experience Class, which will be in existence in 2008. Details will be added as they become available.
Economic Class
The Economic class includes Skilled Workers, Entrepreneurs, Investors, and Self-Employed persons such as Farmers.
In these immigration cases points are assessed for many different factors such as education, language abilities, connections to Canada and work or business experience. The best way to determine if you qualify is to contact us, and provide a current resume or CV. This should include all education and work experience. If you are married or in a common-law relationship, you and your spouse will be applying together; please be sure to send resumes for both of you.
Family Class
Family Class applications are for family reunification. This is possible when someone living in Canada sponsors
close relatives. There are many things to consider here, such as which relatives can be sponsored, whether the sponsor
is required to meet a minimum income, and which immigration office to file the application.
We would be happy to discuss any Family Class questions with you. |
